I have never believed in spending much on a mattress until I realized my bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. I shopped around, read reviews and tested a LOT of mattresses. Once I tried the Reserve Pillow Top (Firm), I could not stop comparing every other mattress to it. Since that mattress became THE mattress to beat, I realized that nothing was going to come close. I am a side/back sleeper and I've had the best sleep of my adult life on this mattress. I actually look forward to going to bed a little early and reading just because it is so darn comfortable. Time will tell how well it holds up; however, everyone I spoke with (other owners and salespeople) say that Stearns and Foster has impeccable quality and durability so I felt comfortable making the investment. Honestly, I could not be happier with my purchase!

This product is not soft. Quality has gone downhill over the years, this is my third Stearns and foster bed. I'm done with this company. This bed actually created some hip pain for both my wife and I, which didn't exist before. If you're a side sleeper you'll wake up with numb arms. Definitely look elsewhere

Why did I wait so long to gift myself a high quality comfortable mattress?
After spending a decadent night at the Ritz Carlton I learned that my experience was in big part to the Sterns and Foster Reserve Mattress I slept on.
It was time to replace my old mattress and knew exactly what mattress I'd have next: S & F Reserve.
It is with anticipated joy that I crawl into bed every night. Great investment. Well deserved.

If I could give this mattress negative stars I would. I purchased this mattress from Mattress firm and was ensured how fantastic this mattress. When i was approaching the 120 day sleep trial, i called with concerns because i found the mattress uncomfortable. They reassured me that this mattress took time to break in and that I would love it. I am now at 11 months with this mattress and it is a rock. I don't think I have had one night where I have slept through or not woken up with back pain. Im extremely upset given the price point and both stearns and foster and mattress firm will not do anything to help me. Given the raving reviews on this mattress I am thoroughly convinced there are defects. This cannot be the same mattress I sampled in the store.

As a repeat customer with Stearns and Foster, we knew the mattress was going to be nice. However, this mattress exceeded our expectations. It is the most comfortable mattress that we have had, and trust me, we have had several over the years. Right from the start, we both slept through the night, waking up feeling great. There was no adjustment period to get use to the mattress. There is nothing that we do not love about this mattress!!!

I really do enjoy this mattress, as I didn't want to splurge on it because of the price initially. I no longer have back pain from my prior mattress. Docked off a star because the promo for the free sheets deal seemed intentionally confusing; they don't tell you that you have to add the coupon code to get it and they make navigating freebies on their website intentionally difficult. Besides that, I do like the mattress though.

Due to the high cost, I was a bit concerned that the performance of the mattress would not equal the money spent on it. There was no need for any concern. This is a phenomenal mattress, which is extremely comfortable. I have had a lot of trouble for the past several years with being unable to get back to sleep, if I awoke during the night. No more. I will wake up occasionally but have always been able to get back to sleep quickly with the Stearns & Foster pillow top Reserve mattress. It has been worth every single penny we spent on it! Thank you, Stearns & Foster, for making such a fabulous mattress!

I have struggled with mattresses and lower back pain for 20 years. Decided to invest in a Reserve pillow top firm. (Sure they feel great in the showroom but will they feel good to sleep on?) We purchased the split king Reserve medium tight top after reading about it and seeing it in a mattress store. We were so excited about getting this very expensive new mattress. In less than 30 days both mattresses began to dip in the middle. My husband said he felt like he was about to roll off the bed. My back hurts so bad that I have to get up every 2-3 hours. The mattresses slides everyday and leaves a large gap in the center so we have to push it back together. The base is tied together and doesn't move. I am so disappointed. We spoke with the company where we purchased the mattress and frame and we will have to pay $250 to return the mattress. There would not be a charge if we exchanged it for another bed just like what we have but I have lost my trust in this brand. I am not sure if it would have been a better mattress if it had been a king rather than a split king. The mattress is approximately 49 days old and has been a big disappointment to us.

I made the best investment in this mattress. I have had the best sleep since my purchase. It is soft but not like a sink hole. Just perfect. My hips were hurting on my old mattress and I would make the loudest sounds trying to turn from the pain at times. Since I have been sleeping on my new mattress, it has just been a blessing. No pressure on my hips. So very worth the money. I give 10 stars. I recommend!

I have been sleeping on Stearns & Foster mattresses forever because the quality can't be beat. I decided to upgrade to a newer model (after many years on my old S&F!) and could not be happier. It is gorgeous and comfortable, well-made and high quality as expected. The delivery could've been a bit better but was overall fine. I also love the ability to raise and lower the head and foot for additional comfort.

This mattress is outrageous. Prior to purchasing, layed on the other top brands. This mattress, from the time you lay on it feels so luxurious. I know preferences differ, but for me, there's nothing like the experience. It helps to melt away the anxiety, especially with the base Temper Ergo Smart). At this point, there's nothing I don't love about it.

My husband and I have been looking to invest in the perfect mattress for a few months. We are both very tall and need a supportive, spacious mattress so that we don't sink into the middle of the bed. After not having any luck at the big mattress stores, we had a family member recommend the S&F Reserve Medium King mattress and we could not be happier. This bed is incredibly comfortable and supportive and suits many different sleeping styles. This mattress truly changed the way we sleep - We are no longer sinking into the middle and the weight distribution in the mattress feels like you are sleeping alone. We also are sleeping much more comfortably, deeper, and feel so much more refreshed and pain free in the morning. There was no "break in" period and the mattress consistently feels the same, always comfortable. You can tell this mattress is super high quality just by the weight of it- It weighs a ton. The mattress also has a ventilation system which I have never seen before. We also love that the mattress is a dark color so over time it will not stain like a standard white bed. We use white sheets and you cannot see the blue through. The delivery process was quick and seamless. Overall, we are so happy with our new bed 10/10!

Mattress is only so-so, MEDIUM is too soft. But what really gets me is the FRAUD we experienced with the $300 Visa Card that we did not receive that was supposed to be included with the purchase. We've been S & F customers for over 25 years and will never buy their products again.

Debated for a while on the purchase because of the price even after trying out this model at the store. With both of us having various ongoing back and joint pains, decided to go for it. It's been one week and felt the difference after one day - sleeping through the night, not waking up with pain / pressure points and overall less body pain in the morning. This is after switching from a mid-level price point mattress. In this situation, you do get what you are paying extra for - the value is there. Now I just need it to maintain form / not dip after a few months like so many mattresses across the industry did that were constructed in 2020/2021

I had purchased a Sterns and Foster mattress for my guest room. Every time I really struggled to sleep, I slept in there. After about 6 months I finally purchase the pillow top soft reserve for my own room. It has really improved my sleep and I wish I had purchased it sooner. The only thing I didn't realize is how think the mattress is…guess it will totally be worth purchasing deeper sheets too but I love it.

I've never really given it much thought about the quality of good rest and sleep until I recently started having back issues over the last 2yrs that I've been very restless and tossing and turning never getting a good night's rest waking up tired and sore. After constantly visiting the chiropractor twice a week over a year just didn't make a difference. So my last option was to break down and buy a quality matress and when I say quality I mean it, this is the last mattress I'll ever own. The best sleep I've experienced in years, I felt so rested and couldn't believe the pain relief from this mattress. Unbelievable!!! You definitely get what you pay for. Best investment I've made in a long time. I highly recommend.

This mattress have a 1 1/2 dip in the mattress and the warranty dept. states is have a 1 1/4 inch. which in order for it to be covered under warranty it should be 1 1/2. Well Of course I went to small claims court today and the pro-tem, not a judge ruled in favor of stearns and foster because of their warranty clause. You cannot measure the dip in the mattress without laying on it and feel the sink. Your merchandise sucks and I will never buy any products from Sealy-tempur international inc. You make the customer think they are getting a new mattress when it is a second with a lot of defects. This product has caused severe back pain, and numbness. Potential customers run as far away from Stearn and foster and Tempur- pedic as fast as you can.

Purchased the Reserve Soft and my husband and I both loved the mattress initially. Soon after the 90 day return or exchange window expired we realized the Soft Pillowtop model was not the right fit for us. The top had started to compress and sag where we sleep and a hump between us started to form. My husband also began complaining the mattress was causing back discomfort each morning. When I reached out to Customer Service to explain our experience and that we would like to exchange our soft pillow top for the Medium non pillow top model I was told by the representative nothing could be done since the 90 day window for an exchange had passed and I could file a claim if the mattress sag was already greater than 1.5 inches.
Considering S&F is a premium brand and we purchased their top end collection I had hoped for a different outcome when I called customer service and explained our experience.

For me this is an investment on my health. I decided to purchase a firm mattress to help with my back pain. Since I started sleeping on the S&F firm mattress my back pain has literally improved 98%, I am sleeping through the night and feel amazing. I also love the design, and most of the firmness with the softness with the fabric. Yes! the colors too. So far there is nothing I don't like about it. We needed a new mattress as our former one was 6 years old, and our body impressions looked like two giant divots. Once I ordered it, I was going crazy waiting for it to be delivered. I was doing a daily countdown! Now that it's here, it's everything we expected. So soft and supportive. Sleep is so peaceful and comfortable again. My husband and I purchased the most expensive mattress of our lives because we believe that it is worth it. We had owned Stearns and Foster in the past, and have been happy with them. Let me disclose that we are both in our upper 70's. The first problem we experienced was that the mattress is super heavy. It took both of us to make the bed. Secondly, the pillow top shifted almost immediately. Within 3 months, we were both sleeping in a hole. When the bed was made up, two body holes and a mound in the middle showed through the bedspread. The company from whom we purchased mattress, sent a representative out to measure and advise us what to do. The "fix" for the shift in the pillow top, was to walk on the bed to shift the top. Keep in mind, we are in our seventies. That wasn't a great solution for us. So we continue to sleep in our holes and if we move to the middle, we are literally sleeping on an angle.
We honestly believe that the foundation under the pillow top is solid and of good value. If you are young and not afraid of breaking a hip, and still have a good back to lift 200 pounds to make up the bed, go for it. If you are older, be advised, it might not be the best bed for you!

I spent over $3500 for the pillow top firm and it has been the worst investment I have ever made. I am a single person and with one person sleeping on the mattress, it is hard to sleep all over the mattress to even out the pillow top sinking. Now the pillow top sinks in one area that I sleep and is very lumpy. I wake up hurting every morning. Now I will be trashing my investment when I can and going back to Beautyrest probably. I had a beautyrest mattress for 9 years before finally buying a new one. Losing over $3500 is a big hit.

My husband and I spent nine days at the Fairmont Orchid Resort on the Island of Hawaii. Those were the best night's sleep I had in over five years. In our last morning in our suite I pulled the covers off to discover the brand of the mattress.
It was Sterns and Foster, I did more investigating I called housekeeping, they informed me it was a Sterns and Foster Reserve mattress.
As soon as we arrived beck home I went on line and ordered the Reserve Firm Pillow Top Split California mattress.
It was delivered yesterday 4/12, we put the bedding on that was the included gift. Last night was the best sleep we have had since coming home from Hawaii. We woke up rested, refreshed , ready for the day.
Beyond a shadow of a doubt this is the best mattress we have owned. The old adage is true You get what you pay for, in this case it is a luxurious well made mattress worth every penny we spent.
